What is General Surgery?

Watertown Regional Medical Center offers a wide range of surgical services and procedures. Our highly trained surgeons offer an individualized approach in the management of complex surgical conditions of the breast, digestive tract (including biliary surgery), surgical oncology (including melanoma, colon cancer, breast cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies) in addition to a variety of other procedures.

One of the first types of minimally invasive surgery was laparoscopy. This type of surgery is done through small incisions using small tubes and tiny cameras.
