Watertown Regional Medical Center provides diagnostic, preventive and treatment services for diseases that affect breathing and lung function. The pulmonary team focuses on the health of the respiratory system, using procedures such as bloodwork, bronchoscopy (a procedure that allows a doctor to look directly at the lungs using a thin, lighted tube), chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests including spirometry, and sleep studies. The team works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of specialists, including cardiologists, interventional radiologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for conditions such as:

- Asbestos-related lung disease
- Chronic bronchitis
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

- Interstitial lung disease

- Sarcoidosis (a condition that causes your immune system to overreact and produce lumps or nodules)
