What is your official title?
I work as a Clinical Assistant at Directions Counseling Center. Amongst other things, I help with patient scheduling and record keeping.
How long have you been at Watertown Regional Medical Center? Have you always been in the same position?
I've been with Watertown Regional Meidcal Center for almost six years. I moved here from New York to take care of my grandparents. Previously I was a nurses aid and clinical assistant at an assisted living home.
What do you enjoy most about working at Watertown Regional Medical Center?
I don't feel like "one of the numbers" and I work with an awesome and caring team of mental health providers.
What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
My mom has always worked in healthcare and she seemed happy and fulfilled and I wanted a career that gave me that feeling too.
What would you say to somebody wanting to get into your profession?
Have patience, you don't know how the person on the other end of the phone or at the counter is doing and how their day is going. We are often the first person people talk to when they are struggling and kindness can go a long way. This has been especially important during the pandemic.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I am a girl scout leader so I love hanging out with them. When I'm spending time alone I like to read and crochet.
What is your favorite place in the Watertown area?
I live in Hustisford and my favorite place to visit is the Horicon Marsh.
Why do you believe patients can count on Watertown Regional Medical Center for quality care?
Everyone takes pride in their job and we all have the same goal in mind, to help our patients and community get and remain healthy. The quality of the mental health providers at Watertown Regional Medical Center is outstanding.
What are you doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19?
I continue to wear my mask, wash my hands and I received my COVID-19 vaccine!
