Watertown Regional Medical Center Earns Healthgrades’ 2025 Specialty Excellence Award for Joint Replacement

Between 5-10% of all hospitals nationwide earn Specialty Excellence Awards, which assess clinical performance based upon Medicare data. 

WATERTOWN, WI– Watertown Regional Medical Center’s (WRMC) joint replacement program is honored to be part of an elite group of hospitals nationwide, earning the 2025 Joint Replacement Excellence Award from Healthgrades. This award recognizes superior clinical outcomes based on Medicare data. 

“We take great pride in the skill and expertise of our team and their ability to help patients regain their independence through successful and effective joint replacement,” said Dr. Raj Chakravarty, Orthopedic Surgeon and Medical Director of Orthopedics Surgery at Watertown Regional Medical Center. “This recognition shows we are helping patients heal and bringing a high-level of orthopedic care to the people of Watertown and the surrounding communities.”

Watertown Regional Medical Center recently expanded its orthopedic services through a partnership with the Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin (OSCW). This partnership allows board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians to perform procedures at Watertown Regional Medical Center on the hand, elbow, foot, ankle and spine, in addition to joint replacement and sports medicine.

Specialty Excellence Awards, like the one given to Watertown Regional Medical Center for joint replacement are awarded when five-stars are received for a specific procedure or condition. The full list of recipients can be found on Healthgrades’ website.

The Specialty Excellence Awards honor continues a series of positive recognitions at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
